Common japanese idioms resources needed

#1
I wanna learn japanese idioms and their meanings so my dive to higher japanese literature will be smooth. I'm also feeling bad of letting idioms pass by without me understanding them.

Any good references/books/sites?

Thx.

Here's a spreadsheet: 2100 Japanese idioms. It's got a list of idioms from a book by Akiyama (see on Amazon), but you need to get the book for the example sentences.

Also click "website" by my user name for some other spreadsheets with lists of idioms.
(Edit: The most useful spreadsheets are:
Idioms & Proverbs: Over 400 expressions with example sentences.
Over 3,000 四字熟語 with an approximate frequency of use rating.
Daily Expressions: Over 6,000 expressions and 12,000 sentences.)

Also, I like this book イラストことわざ辞典. It's aimed at natives and therefore all in Japanese, but many of the expressions have illustrations which encapsulate the meaning quite well.

I made a printable HTML file based on Katsuo's 2100 idioms spreadsheet: http://jptxt.net/printable-idioms.html. I hope it's ok that I reused the data. I added furigana, removed idioms with non-RTK1 kanji, and fixed a few errors.

Some typos or spelling errors in the spreadsheet: a bellly act, apptitude, aquire, awstruck, carring, get alone well, inexepensive, Japaneses, laquer, mountainq, nonexistant, steet, かたもい, ふとことがふかい.

Does anyone have a spreadsheet for the book, "Common Japanese Collocations: A Learner's Guide to Frequent Word Pairings"? I saw this book in the store and it looked interesting. I would buy it if there was a corresponding spreadsheet. There seems to be some overlap with the idiom book mentioned above.
