Do you think that a book dict is useless if I have dict in the phone? Last time I felt like it will be good to see the word in the book dict as I have visual memory I can grab some homophonic words whit similar reading on the same page I already know and this can help me?

In that direction can someone recommend me a good dict which is pocket size from Amazon?

Well I'd wouldn't want to get a book dictionary because of all the time it would take to search up a word. Maybe look into getting an electronic dictionary?

Because that dictionary has less features.

The Ex-word dictionary has like 20 dictionaries in it, including a huge kanji dictionary. You can write kanji, but best of all it has a jump feature which allows you to do one search that automatically searches all the dictionaries in the electronic dictionary.

Since I got an electronic dictionary 10 years ago, I've hardly ever used a paper dictionary since then (not counting specialist dictionaries that aren't on the electronic one).

I never heard of a japanese dictionary taking conjugated forms, only the internet dictionaries. Remember, these dictionaries are made for japanese natives, not learners.

In general I just suggest using the one on your phone. Aedict (android) and imiwa (iphone) are very beginner friendly. (you didn't mention your current level of Japanese, so I'm assuming beginner) If you really want a pocket paper dictionary, Random House Webster's Pocket Dictionary was pretty good to use when I was starting out, but looking things up on a smartphone is much quicker.

If you want one for just this reason I would pick up a children's J-J dictionary. However for something on-the-go just stick with a phone or electronic dictionary.
