Ah, I get it. My bad too somewhere probably
I think that only a small minority would continue using the keywords, because they do naturally move into the background as you get more familiar with Japanese vocab. But you know, it is useful to say to make sure you do, at some point, stop using them as a crutch, just to remind people. I just think that sometimes on this site, people seem to fiercely advocate for actively pushing them away as soon as possible, which requires a lot of effort, but since they'll fall away naturally as you go on, you could have saved yourself a lot of effort.
Sorry if this has all sounded like I'm having a go at you, which I'm not. I guess I'm trying to pitch my concerns more broadly, and just used what you said as a jumping off point to discuss wider attitudes on this site. Wider attitudes I guess, for example, like replacing the RTK1 keyword with a Japanese one while you're still going through RTK1 etc. Given that most people doing RTK1 these days seem to be beginners, I guess I don't think that's particularly helpful to any learner, but especially to beginners, who already have a lot on their plate, and would find things less difficult and stressful if they were allowed to trust that breaking things up into one thing to learn at a time would save a lot of time and effort.
Which is not to say that everyone will benefit from RTK1, everyone has different learning styles, and different things make more sense to them.
