Sorry to pull up an older thread. I'm seeing on kitsunekko.net that kamigami has released Japanese subs for Sword Art Online II and they're current up to the latest episode. Does anyone know which RAW they are basing the subtitles off of? I'd like to use them with little re-timing. I don't see them releasing the videos themselves on the main sites. And that kamigami.org site listed above which is supposed to be their home page points to some financial page now. Any help would be appreciated.

Subtitles are extracted from the RAW .ts files that have closed caption. Their site have moved due to METI shakedown and "take-down order" on manga and anime. Just add the "alphabet" i and a "dot" . followed by their former url - kamigami.org - that should bring you to the current residence.

If you can read and understand the Chinese language, they are on Weibo (微博) where updates are announced, or hang out with kamigami fans over at Baidu Tieba.

Thanks for the updated websites. I can't read Chinese but I found the relevant page. Unfortunately, the raws I am looking for are not seeded enough to download.

I had this problem once.

To fix the subs it was necessary to chop exactly 1 minute out at the same time point in each ep, which was doable with a simple script.

I think kamigami subbers transcribe the Japanese. A lot of shows don't have closed caption. In any case, kamigami's subs are usually high quality and timed well, so only minor adjustments are necessary to use with other releases.

Namely, you may need to use Aegisub to shift time in these places:
1. beginning
2. after OP
3. for each commercial break
4. after ED

Sometimes you may also need to delete Chinese if they only release bilingual subs.

I have not looked at SAO II subs so I don't know how well they work.
If I have time I will do what I did for SAO I subs and a bunch of others - i.e. re-time it to a specific western release and re-upload the subs back to Kitsunekko.

Yes, you're right, the Japanese subtitles were transcribed by the subbers for most of the anime which have Chinese subtitles when it was broadcasted in their countries.

Aegisub is definitely a wonderful tool to re-adjust the timing for subtitles, and it can do a lot more too.

Some of the SAO (multi-languages) subtitles are also uploaded on shooter.cn too, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm hardly into anime these days. Anyway, their bilingual release for the "asa-dorama" Hanako and Anne is spectacular and awesome.
