Trying to identify a kanji

#1
Hello,

I'm new to these forums and was looking for some help regarding a specific kanji that I recently came across. It's from a video game and I'm wondering if it has some important significance to the plot. I would be grateful if anyone might be able to tell me what it means.

Thank you so much for any help you might be able to provide.

Looks like 忠 - loyalty, faithfulness

Hmm. In the context of the game, that doesn't quite fit, but I guess it's possible. Thanks for your quick reply!

Are there any other possibilities?

I found an image of the kanji for loyalty that looks really similar to the picture I posted before, but the only difference is one of the strokes is broken in two. Could that make a big difference in what it means?

Here's the image I'm talking about:

Ah, never mind. I found another image of the kanji for loyalty that looks just like the first image.

Thanks for all the help!

If it were part of a compound, it's meaning could be inflected by the kanji modifying it. For example:

不忠 - disloyal
忠言 - sincere advice

If you're referring to the reason why the 忠 in your pictures has disconnected strokes, or why they don't look exactly the same, that has to do with the calligraphic styles being used to write it, but they are the same character.

If you tell us what the game is, we might be of more help.

The character is absolutely, 100% for certain, 忠. That semi-calligraphic form makes no difference.
