Okay, i never thought I'd get to this point. I'm considering my options for putting a cap on anki reviews per day.
I've done anki by the straight arrowed book for the entire duration I have used it for Japanese. That means a 100% 'attendance' over 294 days so far, before this I had done to an almost perfect record all of RTK1 but using manual hand-held flash cards.
Here's my stats for 1mth & deck life:

Anyway I can't take it much more, I'm also a medical student full time which is a tough degree by itself.
I will be finished with the anki method (in terms of new cards) by the new year at the rate I go.
And my japanese progress has been a joy and I've come a massively long way.
But nowadays I must do over 400 reviews every single day and then 30 new cards a day, of which I can get done 200 without much hassle (while I'm walking to/from home), but the last 200 has to be done before bed.
I'm not getting enough time for other Japanese by simply reading my anki all day.
The stats say it takes 150 minutes, but in reality it's taking 4hrs a day to finish all my cards. I'm losing sleep recently cause I can't get it done as well as medschool stuff and sleep 8 hours, tonight I'm looking at just over 6.
What are people's thoughts on review limiting. Will it significantly slow my progress?
I really don't want to, and I've rolled with it until now but it's getting too much.
