The lag situation with Anki is annoying but I don't know about unbearable. It's only a half-second delay between grading yourself and the next card being displayed (at least on my system). Which is noticeable enough to be annoying, but hardly earth-shattering.

It's unbearable if your average review time is 3 seconds. Breaks the rhythm.

Exporting to text and back got rid of the statistics about the phantom reviews.

Strange, the file is even bigger now that I know how to bloat it, but the lag still isn't nearly as bad (a slight delay on the first review, unnoticeable on subsequent ones).

I have a quick question (again, sorry T_T)
This deck has kanjified vocab for words normally written in kana, which is great, but will we be tested on that kind of thing (the kanji for itsumo, for example) in JLPT1, or any of the native kanji exams? Just curious...

Just completed RTK1 and am really excited about using your deck, pmnox. Are you likely to be updating this in the near future? I'd rather hold up syncing up if you are, since upgrading between versions is not possible.

Is there a spreadsheet for this deck anywhere? Or a way to export decks to excel. I'd really need a readable document for the writing part.

Hello.
In the information page of this Anki deck, it is suggested that :
"5) How to start working with the deck.
If you previously finished the Core 2k deck and you want to start using this deck.
I recommend that you suspend all cards with Optimized-Voc-IndexOriginal <= 2000
If you previously finished the Core 6k deck and you want to start using this deck.
I recommend that you suspend all cards with Optimized-Voc-IndexOriginal <= 6000
Note that Optimized-Voc-IndexOgirinal was created by matching word and sentence in cards from core-6000.txt deck with cards from "Core 6k Optimized" deck. About 5800 cards out of 6000 were matched."
However, there is no "Optimized-Voc-IndexOriginal" field in the current version of the deck, only :
- Optimized-Voc-Index2k+4kDefault
- Optimized-Voc-Index2k
Which one should be used?
Thanks!

Pmnox, thank you thank you thank you for this deck! =D I am going to start the 6-10k range cards today, so I've just downloaded the deck and modified it to fit my needs and merged it into my Nukemarine deck, and I believe everything went rather nicely ^.^ It's going to be super nice to have example pictures again!
The only question I have is: Would it be easy to generate two more fields? One that would align with these Nuke's deck's fields:
"Expression" - The example sentence without furigana brackets.
"Sentence-Clozed" - The example sentence with furigana but with the vocab word replaced with "( )"
I've never actually used the Sentence-Clozed field myself, but I think some people might find it useful. I do, though, use "Expression"--I like displaying the sentence without furigana bigger and before the one with furigana so that I can practice reading along with the audio while associating the sounds purely to the kanji; the furigana would get in the way (but I have that version later on below in case audio is unavailable for some reason).
Anyway that's just a really small request that's barely important at all, but mostly I'm just happy to have this deck! I remember wondering months ago how I was ever going to find a decent Core10k deck, but you came along and pulled it all together for me in plenty of time for my own personal study timeframe, and I'm grateful it worked out that way ^.^ Now I'm able to charge forward with 10k as I'm ready (which is today!) =D Yay, onwards I go!
Edit: As just a bit more constructive criticism, I think the images generated for the section I have could be improved. Right now it seems as though the "translation" field was Bing image searched--wouldn't it be better to search the actual vocabulary in Japanese? Also... at least two cards have the exact same image--美容 and 美. Also also, I can't remember which word it was, but one was just a picture of the Mastercard logo which I remember thinking was totally unrelated. Heh XD
Double Edit: Uhhh, 無 has a borderline pornographic image. It doesn't show anything but whoa.

The card with CoreIndex 2121 is wrong.
It's ちっとも, so the kanjified version should be 些とも, but the card uses 一寸 (ちょっと) for the vocab and all example sentences.

Those are styles that I'm using:
nokana ruby rt { opacity:0.0; font-size:0}
notext b { background-color:#000000; color:transparent }
After that you can copy paste the following code snippets to Anki:

Bing has found a lot of Chinese words that have completely different meanings.

Finally getting around to doing 2K~6K and I'm trying to get this deck setup. I have followed Nukemarine's guide up to 2K with that deck. Working with v22, goal is to do 4K beween 2K and 6K.
So far I have:
-Sort by "Nukikame-Core6k-Optimized-Voc-Index". Delete/suspend 1~2000.
-Re-sort by "Optimized-Voc-Index2k+4kDefault". Delete/suspend 6000+
Would the ~4000 that is left be optimized in 4K groups, or 2k groups?
