Thanks! Yeah, it takes a bit of fooling around with it, but I think I'm getting used to Anki now.

It sounds like it since the number of new cards you get is not constant. The limit of new cards applies to the deck and its subdecks. If you have the below structure for your decks (all have limit of 20 new cards/day), and you learn 16 new cards from Japanese::Genki2, then you can only learn 4 new cards from Japanese::RTK.

Is there anyway to delete the image calling of the deck? The warning means that your notes still have references to the deleted images. Copy the name of one deleted file and search for it in your deck. Hopefully, the image references are in its own field that you can just delete from the note type.

MelonBerry Wrote:You need to create a separate options group for 'Core 0 - 10k' that has a limit that is at least the sum of its subdecks' limits, e.g. if the two subdecks has each a limit of 20 new cards, the main deck needs a limit of at least 40 new cards.Pauline Wrote:Yeap, mine looks like this ;MelonBerry Wrote:Even though I have it set to 20 new cards a day, I really only get about 4. Any idea how to fix this? I usually just click on the main deck title.

I tried several ways, but only inserting "\R" as search term replaced "newline" but also every occurrence of "r" which is impractical.
Has anybody experience in with this or can suggest another smart way to deal with this?
yogert909 Wrote:You can export the new deck from anki as csv. Then re-import the csv into the new deck. Check a checkbox something like "skip duplicate entries" and it will only import the unique entries. If you tag the cards in your old deck, you be able to know which are the imported cards and which are new.I guess I'll try that, thanks. I will just have to add fields to make the decks match.
I hope this helps.
yogert909 Wrote:Unfortunately, Anki cannot randomly pick from a list of conjugations.Actually, you can do it with Javascript. Still, I think picking a random verb (of a specific class) for a specific conjugation is better than picking a random conjugation for a specific verb - the former is one fact, the latter is at least 10 facts. Here's a deck that asks you to conjugate one of 示す,表す to the basic forms (one note per verb type, one card per form):
