Generally speaking, shounen/shoujo/kodomo manga has furigana while seinen/josei manga doesn't. There are exceptions though. If you want to know for sure you can download a scan of the first volume (google 'raw manga scans').
I noticed you've already found the manga recommendations thread. For most entries the presence of furigana is indicated. If it isn't, look up the demographic (can be found on wikipedia or manga database websites), see above.

Thanks but could you give me some suggestions of good manga that you've already read and in furigana.. Something with a good story? I just thought that having a good story manga would give some more motivations in reading... Thanks!

The Recommend manga thread http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=10869 has plenty of suggestions.

The majority of them have furigana. You'll have more trouble when you want to find ones without it. Everything by Jump has furigana, but the language difficulty can differ.
If you're a beginner, I recommend Doraemon Plus. Even adults can appreciate the stories, and there are lots of useful words and structures you can use in everyday conversation. I think I learnt 〜とく as an abbreviation of 〜ておく from there. A completely wacky, out-of-left-field recommendation would be すごいよ!!マサルさん. It's hard to even describe, but I laughed a lot while reading it.

Hm, the thread I started called "the recommend manga thread" that quark linked, was supposed to stop these types of threads. I guess I should put whether or not a manga has furigana in my top post.

Thank you so much guys for your help!! xD Doraemon is cute and funny, I guess I'll start on reading it first.. Hopefully, I'd be able to understand it... I guess I'll be needing some dictionaries beside me.. xD

Javizy Wrote:The majority of them have furigana. Are you sure about that? Maybe if you mean "majority" as anything over 50%, but there are a lot of manga publications for adults or teenage/college readers that don't have furigana. The top-selling titles tend to be from Jump or the like and thus have furigana, but I think there are actually more adult/seinin magazines than shonen/shojo.
Manga that Westerners are familiar with tend to be weighted towards the shonen/shojo demographics, though.
(By "adult" I mean Big Comic and the like, not porno.)

yudantaiteki Wrote:I didn't mean it like 'most of them', if that's what it sounded like. There are certainly plenty of both options. I look for ones without furigana only and I've found you'll probably have many more choices if you're doing the opposite. At least if Book Off and Tsutaya are anything to go by.Javizy Wrote:The majority of them have furigana. Are you sure about that? I can recommend 好きっていいなよ It's a romance/SoL/School manga about how the most popular guy in school falls in love with the least popular girl.
As what I can tell, easy vocab and not too hard grammar stuff. I'm somewhere between N4 and N3 and don't have much of a problem to understand. It's a lot of slang though, but you'll get used to it. Should you decide to read it, lemme know if you like it

@pauro02: The thread quark linked you to has plenty of manga. If you want to know which have Furigana look out for the ふ in the listing - I could swear it indicates exactly that.
