Translation (a line out of that book about the 16 year old prostitute)

#1
そして今まで、そのときの心を幾重にもくるんで胸の中にひっそりとしまい込んでいた。

Can someone please help me translate this? I get the gist of it I think, but I need an accurate translation.

I see 込んで in a lot of various contexts. I learned that it means crowded but can you please tell me how it is used?

Thanks!

The verb in that sentence isn't just 込んで, it's しまい込んで

Ah, I see! Thank you. But could you also give me a translation of the whole sentence?

And, up until now, I had wrapped my heart [feelings] of that time over and over again and stored it quietly inside myself [in my chest].

I could not think of a good TL for ひっそり, as it means sth along the lines of "no one recognises sth because it's done quietly/in silence without others taking notice of something".

I translated 胸の中 a bit more freely as it's a literary text. But I think it can also be used to describe something rather concrete like in 胸の中にちくちくするような痛みがある.
Hope that helps.

Japanese Language Wars 2: Attack of the Prostitution Synonyms.

See this thread for more details: http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?p...#pid206568

Also, today I learned that (from the prostitute page) a 16 year old Japanese prostitute can cost as low as $500-$600 and as high as $2500-$3000. Not bad for 1 nights work.
