If you write the kanji during reviews you probably have piles of A4 paper filled with these wonderful chinese characters. This is a really simple trick but I thought I'd share anyway : if you use lined paper (just the horizontal lines), you can turn it 90 degree (so the page layout is "landscape" instead of "portrait"), and then write the kanji going from top to bottom (and for full Japanese flavour, right to left
). Leave one empty "column" between the columns of characters. The vertical lines help keeping the proportions between characters. If you leave just a little vertical spacing between characters, it can look really cool, try it!
