Does anyone know a good place to get a (physical) Japanese Bible (both Testaments)? From what I've heard, the New Interconfessional is the best translation so I'm looking for that. I've found a few possibilities on Amazon for about $50 (http://www.amazon.com/Bible-Interconfess...onal+bible), but I was wondering if anybody knew of any other better or cheaper places to buy one, especially since I've only been looking on US websites.

Steal one from a church.

I have a Japanese New Testament that I ordered from Amazon. I hope you're able to find something cheaper! Is there any chance you have a Japanese bookstore near you? I'm in Seattle and I have access to one here and one in Portland.

Not quite sure whether it's going to be helpful or not but you will find that in most Japanese hotels the rooms are supplied with a copy of a Bible. And usually it's a bilingual edition, like this one for example (although, I can't recall seeing this particular edition). If you happen to stay in such a hotel, ask whether you can take a copy from the room with you – as I understand those copies are free to those who ask. Mind you that the language in the Bible is a bit skewed (both, in English and in Japanese) – something to consider when it comes to using it as a learning resource.

I'm not much help, but I picked up a Japanese-English New Testament at an Asian market once. Just your typical small Asian grocery. It's not the typical place you'd expect to find a Bible, but they have more than just food. Dunno about translation recommendations, sorry.
Oh and Happy Easter!
