This book is apparently very similar to the Core Cards that are available online. I was looking for an actual textbook to use, rather than simply flashing Anki cards on my iTouch for reviews. Has anyone used this textbook, or is there a more suitable one that is recommended.

I am a few pages from the end of RTK 1 and I would like to begin working on something else. RTK 2 & 3 were not recommended by many fellow RTK board members. Core decks were highly recommended. I will certainly utilize the them, but I am also seeking a regular textbook to use, so recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

I should add that the 2001 Kanji Odyssey site is not my actual interest, rather it is the textbooks they publish that contain the same materials: Essential Japanese Kanji 1110 Levels 1 & 2.
