Hi,
regarding http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/ is there a way to access news articles older than 30 days? Or is anyone of you regularly saving them for offline reading?

In addition, there's an add-on for Firefox which can be used to download the audio and video files from the site.

@gombost, are you able to download this video with that addon? http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/html/20130221...91000.html
It doesn't seem to be working for me. I've tried with DownloadHelper and Flashgot as well.

Indeed, it doesn't work. Sorry, I remembered it wrong.

Buonaparte had mentioned a software for this somewhere...
I've found it, here Smile Replay Media Catcher. It might be hard to find though.

Oh no worries, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. Yes I was already toying with different stream downloaders and that one works great.

From now on I'll be saving them on my computer. If only I had found out sooner!

By the way since we are at it, please clear something for me. The one I linked is the more difficult version of the same news found here http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/20130221...91000.html correct?

Yes, they are the same news, one is the original and the other is the easy version. You can always reach the original from the easy page by clicking on the "Ippan no nyuusu genkou wa kochira" link (I don't have Japanese IME on this computer) above the picture of the video.
