山
I like the "mountain" (yama) kanji the best because it was one of the first non-number kanji that I learned on my own. In a lot of the articles I've read about how lots of the original chinese characters originated, they usually use "mountain" as an example of how pictographs became highly stylized characters. I always think of the 山まやあ cat too when I see it.
The 器 (utensil) kanji is pretty funny to me too, just because of Heisig's story. That poor, poor St. Bernard...

It means depression but I don't care, I just think it's cool.

Now that I'm a bit more used to kanji, I think my new favorite is 御. It just feels so... Japanese, somehow.

公, because it looks great next to 園, 園 because it looks great next to 公 . I also like 翁, 総 because it contains 公, which looks great next to 園. I also took particular lighting in 懸, not only because it looks so beautifully complicated, but also because we, who have gone true rtk, can now write it so easily.
In addition, almost every kanji that contains the "shape" primitive.

It is not random at all. Just read kaiji and akagi to get THE feeling.

I like anything with the "road/path" primitive. Of which, I suppose, the coolest is probably 導. I also like 魔, which you'll see ten trillion times if you play the classic RPGs in Japanese. Combine the two to get 魔導 (まどう), the Japanese word for magic in FF6. 雰 also looks pretty cool.
As for clever compounds where the Heisig keywords really make a cool image.. 砂漠.

I might switch my vote to 魔導 if it sounded a bit more cooler. Because the kanjis rock.
仲魔 is cool too.

Tobberoth, you underestimate everyone too much. 仲魔 is word play.

For every kanji you make your favourite, you're making the other kanji cry! Shame on you.

I quite like: 暗記 - My 'dark scribe', like the Anki program has become my serpentine Dexter-style companion for memorizing kanji. ^_^

I don't even care about its meaning. I simply adore it~ ♡
Edit: nest0r >> Oh! (insert slowpoke.jpg) Those are the actual kanji for あんき? That's awesome!

又, the crotch.
Seriously. I've just spent the last 10 minutes straight laughing my ass off over the submitted stories that stem from this primitive. I'm actually crying, I'm laughing so hard. I can't even remember the last time I've done that. <sigh> ahh...I gotta stop for tonight...

Well.. It is not my favorite Kanji word, but I have been wondering recently about 鉛筆。。。 a "lead pencil"?? But it is really a graphite/carbon pencil. So, did the English "lead pencil" come from 鉛筆? Or the other way around?
