I always drilled them right away. That should be fine.

I liked to do a first review overnight for a real hard core tough hard as nail kinda review =)

Usually a story/mnemonic that doesn't survive a good night sleep wasn't a good story.

So up to you, but a good story does not need to be reviewed with fresh memory. There is effort to recall, but that's what make them hold on for longer. So essentially, if you review only after 24h, it makes the first review more potent, but really it's not a significant difference as the SRS will sort things out, do what feels more enjoyable or fits in your schedule the best.

I review them the morning after, which seems to work, because I kind of read through them a couple of time whilst adding them, and thus I'm able to push them back 4 days already from the first review.

If what you've been doing works, then keep at it. Remember that Anki is your servant Wink

When I used this website, I reviewed them at the end of the day, because 1 minute -> 3 days was kind of a rough transition compared to 2-3 hours of waiting before reviewing.
