SRS graduating intervals

#1
I've been thinking about modifying my graduating interval (in Anki) from 1 day to something like 5~10 days or more. What are your reviewing options? Do you think this is a terrible idea?

Graduating from Anki 2's learning mode I assume? What harm do you see in 1 day? You see it tomorrow then after that it starts spacing out normally. I'm not sure waiting 5~10 days is going to save you any time, unless you truly do remember something that well after your initial review. What kind of content are you reviewing that makes you want to move to a larger graduating interval?

For my sentence cards,
my learning mode and lapse steps are: 11 60
And new interval after a lapse is: 5%

I think aside from that I should have the default options. I think these work okay for myself.

If you think the 1 day graduating interval is too small for yourself, why not push it up slowly. Move to 2 day, and see how that feels, then slowly move it higher till it feels right for yourself.

Core 6000, but I want to finish it as soon as possible as I already have a decent reading ability. Also, I was somehow encouraged to do so after reading Nadiatims method here: http://rtkwiki.koohii.com/wiki/Nadiatims_method

I was thinking of changing mine too (come to think of it, how do you do that exactly?), so I'll be interested to see people's input on this. I'm getting really sick of seeing the same cards over and over, and them not moving to longer intervals quickly enough, making my reps each day take far longer (and feel more boring) than they need to.

Was looking at the Anki deck settings and was wondering what "Interval modifier" was. And remembered this topic. Maybe you could increase this to space out your reviews more.

I couldn't do it anymore, so I ditched the whole thing, 残念. It's not like I know the whole thing already either, but I rather learn new words from things that I read, etc. You know.
