I am probably being incredibly thick but could someone help me please? When I add, say, 10 new kanji I can't easily tell what numbers they are to put in the new stories. Am I missing a simple way to do this?

If you're using the Remembering the Kanji book usually you'll keep a tab on which framenumber you are up to. So if you start at say #123 today, and add ten cards, then you can either enter "133" to say I want to add flashcards up to that point, or enter "+10". I think the first option is more intuitive. Just enter the framenumber up to which you want to add cards (existing cards are unaffected by this).
In the study page, just enter the first frame number you study today in the search box, then you can click the arrows to move to the next kanji in the RTK sequence.
