Just to clarify this isn't strictly for Japanese, so feel free to talk about any goals you're working on. I wanted to state mine because maybe some people have advice and such.
・Get an internship. Currently awaiting to hear back from Baxter to see if they will give me a proper interview (they had previously called me for a phone interview in late October). This would be a 12-week summer internship and they don't stop looking at candidates until March so I still have some time to get lucky. In the meantime I'm planning on attending an internship fair in February at my school.
・Get fit. I had taken a 2 month break from exercise but am planning to restart in full-force after New Years. I'm 6'2" and 165 pounds so my goals are to get some muscle, cut some fat, and hopefully be in shape for the summer. If I get a new part-time job soon, I will also start taking MMA classes to aid in the following goal (confidence) as well as getting fit.
・Increase my confidence. At 23 I definitely need to work on making more friends, being more sociable, and also outgoing. I need to work on my confidence while I'm still in America, because it won't get any easier if my plans to move to Japan after school actually come to fruition.
・Stop messing around and study Japanese. Too often I get distracted and stop reading my Japanese book in favor of killing time on the internet. If I want to enjoy breaks in Japanese studying (such as when the new Starcraft II expansion or Bioshock Infinite come out) then I need to bust my ass at all other times. I have Hunger Games in Japanese now so maybe 1 book a month would be a good goal.

Great topic! Thanks for starting this, TheVinster.
My 2012 goals failed miserably except for one. I did find a new job with a slightly better pay, moved to another city and started all over again.
In 2013, I would like to:
1. Finish the book Kanji in Context by June 2013
2. Possibly take Kanken exam level 5 sometime in summer 2013canceled
3. Finally finish my professional exam by February 2013 Finished this in May instead
4. Work on public speaking by joining Toastmasters starting January 2013
5. Improve my social skills - I'm very reserved and need to meet new people. Maybe by joining meetups that fit my interests

1. Finish Tae Kim (by the end of January). Proceed with other grammar resources.
2. Complete Core2K
3. Work out more often.
If I could complete more than the Core2K over the course of a year that would be excellent.
