Anki 2 is out!

Is it possible to disable learning mode altogether? I don't really need it since I start reviewing 12 hours+ after I added the cards...

Perhaps I have done something wrong? My issue with this is that if I hit the same button for the majority of cards, I won't have a lot of reviews for a few days but then I will suddenly be inundated with a load in 4 days' time.
"1440 5760" sounds useless, since those are the default Anki times for not "learning mode"... I only use times "<1 day" for learning.

Anyway, I think that what you want is this: Load Balancer
As of 2.0.4/2.0.5 Anki does this for you.

This is good to know. The lack of 'fuzz' (as Damien calls it) in card spacing is what I was dreading most about Anki 2, but now I may feel a bit better about hopping over next month.

quesiton: so is there any way to make the text bigger for the text in the rows when i'm browsing. i remember easily changing the font when it was anki 1 but for anki 2 i don't see where you change that?/

also i notice with anki 2 whenever i add new cards it asks me TWICE. is there any way to make it stop doing that. it's really annoying

Click "add new card", then click "fields" and you'll find the fields and their settings, where you can alter the font sizes.

Can't help you with the other part. Are you sure you aren't adding an inverted version of each card?

i figured out the first problem so you do add new card -> cards -> more -> browser apperance and the font limit is 18 for that.

by inverted version you mean i added 2 cards and that's the reason why it asks me twice?/ I don't know what inverted version is. the thing is i add 1 new card and it asks me twice . the first time it asks me i either chose 2 or 3 so there should be no reason for it to ask me again. i didn't fail it...

Can I ask what numbers I should input to put it back to the original settings?

I don't know what are the original settings, but if you want "10 minutes, 1 day, 4 days" you only need to put a 10 there. 1 day and 4 days are already part of the original algorithm, I believe.

I use "10 70 200"; so, in learning mode, it's 10 minutes later if I fail them; if I know them, they will repeat first in 1 hour and if I still remember them 1 hour later, they will finally show again 3 hours later; after all that, they will start the usual 1 day, 4 days, etc.

My advice would be to take a minute to understand how Anki works and also how your own brain works best and find learning times for that.

Another user already asked: "So how exactly do you want it?" You should at least answer that to yourself (and to us, if you need more help.)

There's a "restore default" button on the lower left corner in the options window. I think the original steps is 10 min only.

Why it's not working for you is because when using '10 1440 5760' You have three steps for learning mode, the first one being ten minutes, THEN AFTER selecting it the second one is 1440, THEN 5760. I advise you to read the documentation next time:

Are you sure about that? Because I can't find anything related in the change log or on the mailing lists.

It says this for 2.0.4: "Anki will now apply a fuzz to review intervals so they spread out more. This fuzz is not reported on the answer buttons, as it is only calculated when the card is actually answered. You can check it in the review history."

But Load Balancer has many more options and is much more useful, in my opinion.
