New Kanji RPG for Remembering The Kanji

#1
Hey, this is RUiNa (tho Yatsuzaki on here). I just released a "new" game, a version of NetHack that uses RTK. I came up with the idea a few months back, did some coding to get the RTK quiz working, and then had my friend TyRaNiD help integrate and code. It's beta but should run til the end. Good luck with study.

Also, if anyone wants to help do RTK3 data files for it or to import people's stories, let me know.

I read "a verson of NetHack that uses RTK" and I jumped for joy, high-fived a shark, and promptly went to download this splendid use of technology. Turns out I was thinking of something that replaced the ASCII set with Shift-JIS, but, alas, the world must tarry longer before such awesomeness is delivered unto it.

But I digress: nice work. Warhammer 40k is awesome.

I enjoy this mod, but is there no option to make the kanji appear bigger? I feel like I'm squinting most of the time just to make out the teeny strokes. This has always been my problem with Nethack in general, assuming that I'm not just ignorantly overlooking some option that fixes this. I can handle the extremely oldschool graphic tiles (I never use the ASCII text, although a Shift-JIS version sounds intriguing) but everything is just so gosh-darn small.

I tried that isometric graphical version a while back, hoping that solve the problem, but the new perspective with a lack of animation made it feel disorienting and even more unplayable to me!

I can't see the kanji! What encoding do you need to set your system to? (Applocale doesn't work with this btw)

Applocale is working fine for me. My encoding is the standard English thingy. I even have the regular ASCII graphics working too.
