New website anime-manga.jp

http://anime-manga.jp/

This is a new website that helps learners of japanese understand some of the expressions from manga. It is still being constructed, but it is good for a laugh and some useful phrases ! I like the character from Osaka !

Probably not much there for people who are already at the intermediate level in their studies and familiar with Manga type phrases.

Yes, more people need to talk like anime characters.

Are there any foreigners in Japan who use "manga" type phrases seriously? I can imagine using some stereotypical Osakaben phrases for example as a joke in certain circumstances. Maybe if your japanese girlfriend was nagging you about cleaning the apartment, you could use a butler type phrase as a joke ha ha. Still I understand that Japanese women don't take well to people using sarcasm to make a point.

Some of the kanji quizzes might be fun when they put them up on the site.

*Mastering different styles of speech for comedic effect

It's a language learning objective for when you're fluent but you just can't stop learning.

Have you mastered sarcasm yet? Haha, 冗談だよ じょ~う・だ・ん

Only in the case of mastering would someone actually go out of their way to learn to talk like all different kinds of anime characters for occasional comedic effect.

Though on a serious note sometimes it is funny (in any language) to use such speech styles and there are people who like doing it Smile I know I do.

I think you misunderstood me, I meant you can pick up childish/cartoony phrases/grammar for fun while you're still a beginner/intermediate.
