How to I change keywords here?

#1
Sorry, but I can't find via search the Firefox method for changing keywords, and I just came across FRAME 1408, which leads me to believe the good professor's brain went on vacation when he assigned it the improbable "traffic". This is an abomination, and has to be corrected. It's "pass", of course, and there is no other kanji assigned to this keyword.

I can change this in Anki very easily of course. How about here?

Thanks.

Get the browser Firefox, its addon Greasemonkey and the Kanji.Koohii: Substitute keywords script.

Much obliged. I use FF, and have GM installed, so I'll see if this works for me.

Success. Thanks again. I can't believe I put up with some of these keywords for this long. But no more. Smile

After you have changed your keywords, you should make a backup of a file named "prefs.js" in your Firefox profile directory. There is a line in it that starts with

user_pref("greasemonkey.scriptvals.http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7118/Kanji.Koohii: Substitute keywords.Wally|KeywordList",

which contains all your changed keywords. Restoring even a few hunderd changed keywords by hand is no fun.

Good info. Thanks again. I do regular full system imaging, so I suspect I would not need to do anything special beyond that -- I would always have several generations of that file on redundant devices. But knowing what file needs to be replaced in case of a problem is certainly something I needed to know. Again, thanks.

If you also install Greasefire, then the Greasemonkey icon will change whenever you visit a page for which there are Greasemonkey scripts available at http://userscripts.org. It will also show you which scripts are available for that site, and allow you to install them on the fly.

If you use Greasefire when using this site you'll find that there are other nice scripts available, so give it a go.
