Straight off, I'll say that many of my stories have sexual imagery and there's no doubt that this helps them stick in my mind. But that's my mind, right? Stories of good times gone by in my own life aren't going to help anyone else, so I don't share 'em.

Wouldn't it be good if everyone (I know most people do already) did the community the same favour?

For two reasons:
Some stuff coming up is kinda gross, yeah, whatever I guess, who cares, but some of it is just obscene and misogynist (not naming names, YONOSA, you tool)

Moreover, we gotta realize there are plenty of people who get a right stick up their shirts about this kinda stuff, as you can see by the ridiculous number of "reports" given to stories that have even the mildest deviation from puritan values. My worry is that eventually, as usually tends to happen, the people who take offense to this stuff will make more fuss than the people who don't care, and the free-wheeling nature of the site (including all forums and message boards) will get clamped down with B.S. rules

Anyone out there feeling me on this?

This has been discussed repeatedly in other threads, which you can look up using the search feature. The general answer is (I think) that some sort of function that prevents sensible users from seeing those stories should be implemented on the site. Whether this is going to happen soon, I don't know.

Yes, I broached this topic a couple of months ago. The clever, genuinely witty use of sexual innuendo that is not pathetically gross, can be wonderful. I'll even accept the *rare* pathetically gross -- but damn, I think it should be clever, too.

But the guy I was inquiring about seemed to think that *EVERY* *SINGLE* *KANJI* could best be remembered by some alleged personal sexual escapade of *his* (and apparently we were supposed to be mightily impressed by that declaration), many of which were gross beyond the pale. I found him somewhat over the line, and most people agreed. He has retreated to the shadows, and may or may not be here still under an assumed nym. But he's not sharing so much, if he is.

My hat's off to the admin. It has been handled mostly by peer pressure against the very lame, and very pathetic, without a need for the admin to step in much at all. I prefer it that way -- unless someone clearly demonstrates that there is a need for more drastic action. So far, I don't really see it.

props for having some consideration to your fellow members. a lot of my stories speak ill of our current president (whom i use for my "person) and people always report them, cause you know, criticizing obama is at least as bad if not worse than pr0n stories. so, for the ones where i'm just being mean about obama at times, i keep those private too, lest i offend some delicate sensibilities.

haha! I do my part, that is true it my stories may not work except with young males. I don't even agree with that type of language in my everyday life though, it just kicks arse for kanji stories, I am at 1600 now, plan to be done by the Wednesday, then I will have some heavy review for the next week and begin sentences.
