Since there was already a thread for those who completed RTK 1, I thought I should make one for those who are currently working.
We be like cheerleaders for each other.
Post your numbers here regularly then pat yourself on the back.
Get encouragement. Cheer.
You can do it!

Lol I just flubbed the kanji for "study" in my review. Ironically this was a Kanji I just knew through experience with anime before. I thought of all the schoolhouse kanji I had learned and got nothing. This is "not" a kanji I should have forgotten. The element I was missing was the child. Now I've decided to call the child the Golden Boy. It works perfectly since he travels the world on his bike screamng "STUDY STUDY STUDY...!!!!" I'll never forget the anime and now I'll never forget the kanji.

I also need encouragement, but of a different type, I guess.
I just started with RTK1 not too long ago and was progressing really fast PLUS it's a lot of fun.
Before I started I ordered the book and while waiting for the real thing I worked with the sample which goes up to frame 172.
Problem: I live in Japan and NEED the German version of the book (I'm German and I've already started with the German keywords and I don't want to change to English now).
Today I got a mail from amazon.jp that the delivery has been delayed and that it might take until MID SEPTEMBER!!!
Oh no, what should I do? :/ .... almost 2 months with only reviewing less than 200 kanji? No, nooo :/

Chochajin, why don't you use the English one and look up the kanji meanings in a German-kanji dictionary? Or even substitute the German word for the English word? That's a lot of time waiting. I will have finished RTK in less days than how long it's taking to get there.

At first I thought about that, too, it's just that the English keywords are not always the same! Most of the time they are, but sometimes they are really different, so I'm not sure about that.
Well I'll be busy the next week, so I wouldn't have time anyway and after that I have a one week vacation. Still after that I might have to wait another 2 weeks for the book, so maybe I'll order it in Germany and pay the REALLY high transportation fees to make sure I'll get it right after I come back from my vacation *sigh*

I already use that, but that's just for replacing the given English keyword with a German one. It doesn't help me in finding the German keywords.
It would be nice if I can just input the number of a kanji and then not only the English, but also the German (French, Spanish, whatever) keyword pops up.
