about heisig's japanese ability...as zgarbas already explained, your opinion is based on ignorance. when 'philosophers of nothingness' was published, majority of works discussed in that book were only available in original japanese language. if he didn't know japanese he could never have written that book in the first place.
instead, why don't you try reading nishida kitaro or nishitani keiji in original japanese and then tell us how's your japanese skill?
