Thanks. Hmm, honestly if its a small unicode block that mainly duplicates the board's image based emoticons, I think it's better to support the forum's emoticons. And I'd rather prioritize a bunch of other things i'd like to implement/fix on the forum.
That said I'm still open to suggestions for emoticon packs if you see a nice Japanese themed one? They need to be ~16 - 21 px square so they can fit inline with the text.
