On my Mac, I can get them via Edit -> Emoji & Symbols (Firefox and Chrome). On iOS, I added an emoji keyboard. If all else fails, you can copy-paste them from, e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticons_...e_block%29 : "?", or U+1F600, is a basic smiling face, and all modern OSes that I've seen have some base font that provides a glyph for it, I don't think it's part of any especially-Japanese font.
