Where do you get your sound samples from?

Moved from the Anki thread.

I am on the JET Programme, there is a free language course you can take while on it. I have taken the intermediate and advanced course. Each course had 6 books with CDs. I ripped the CDs and am slowly chopping the mp3s into about 1000 wav files. To do my editing I use an old program called Multiquence. There is probably a better way though.

I also have anyone I can who is Japanese record words and or sentences for me. Usually that is the teachers at my school.

Some other options that I may try later on are the UNICOM book CDs and the practice tests for JPLT.

I do listen to japanesepod101 but I really find their entire operation to be rather unprofessional and therefor don't like to count on it much. It does however make a nice listen on my commute to work.
