It's always brilliant for me when I find a Japanese song that I really like. I work out the lyrics and because I love the song, they replay over and over in my mind, which is great for building vocabulary and it's also good for pronunciation.
The only problem is that I come across music I like quite rarely so I thought I'd start a thread to share good Japanese tunes.
Don't know if this will be popular or not but I'll get the ball rolling with these three:

粉雪 (こなゆき）
I bought one of the albums of these guys and it was great. They're very popular in Japan so I'd imagine a lot of people know them already.
笹川美和 （ささがわみわ）

I chose this song because it's popular and it's on youtube but I actually prefer 金木犀 （きんもくせい） (toggle the old rikaichan on that badboy). She has a really distinctive voice that sounds quite folky and traditional.

This is going back a few years but the melody is fantastic. Really distinctive.
I found the videos on youtube today but I've loved the songs for ages now. I think the videos are actually pretty unexciting and don't live up to the song at all. Anyway, I hope that these are new for some people and that they like them. I'd really like to get into some more bands/singers so please share.
