Are there any graded reader books in japanese like oxford produces. Id love to be able to read some books but without so much kanji so as to be able to concentrate on reading the book and not a dictionary so much. Ive already got the "Breaking into japanse literature" book which is really good but unfortunately my japanese friends say the language is old literature sytle. Im after something which is more modern or casual.. maybe a yakuza classic etc.

Also dramas/films/tv progs - what do you reccomend. Im in the uk so would have to buy/download (in legal ways) / borrow such stuff but id like something interesting to watch. 24hours of constant nons stop counter terrorist vocabulary would be great.

Music - what music would you reccomend. I dont want any of that euro trance crap gyaru are always listening too but some stuff with lyrics - rock, hip-hop anything really!

Natural podcasts/streams? I really want to get into the habit of listening to native japanesse rather than learner stuff. Any good links?

Whats your favourite online reading stuff. Im going to start using rikai chan with engadget.com. Any good teenager newpapers sites out there?

Ive checked out a lot of the links in the resources sticky and would have posted this there but wanted to keep that topic to just reccomendations only.

Cheers
