I'm sure that you'll find here several threads on this subject (search for Palm, PDA, PocketPC, etc.), so I won't repeat what was previously written. But here's what's new for me: I just bought a Palm T|X (aka "Palm TX") to replace my Zire21. It's an amazing machine, best bang-for-the-buck I could find. There's some excellent (and free) software for it for learning Nihongo, plus I can use it as a PDA, surf the web (WiFi), watch movies, play games, ...
My only "complaint" is that (at least for now), due to runtime memory limitations (not store memory), there's no simple way to use sites that completely relies on Shockwave, Flash or other types of plugins. Some Ajax (Web 2.0) sites can also show some problems, too (including one called Reviewing the Kanji). As Fabrice is busy with other things, I'll try to write a "proxy server" so people with PDAs, cell phones, etc. can use all the site facilities.
