FYI - I'm going for a cheap Palm. Probably the Palm Z22. Don't need anything fancy as I'm really only buying it to use Twinkle.
btw once you are at it, definitely check out PADict. You may want to check out sf.net discussions forums for PADict too, there is a link to a page of someone who made quite an impressive setup including Eijiro (same as alc.co.jp) with examples on a Palm linked to PADict there. I haven't done that myself and it sounded like quite a complicated procedure, but the end result sounded quite impressive, perhaps better than any pocket dictionary.
