Quote:Yes, very convenient. Do not drag columns around to change their order though, as there is a minor bug in the current version that will screw up pasting if you do that.laxxy Wrote:I just used Excel. So you can copy and paste from Excel in to Twinkedit? That sounds great.
Quote:Even though I really love Mnemosyne you can't go straight from Excel -> Mnemosyne. That's a pity, it is a rather important feature imo...
Quote:I'm like a little kid before Christmas...still got to wait about 10 days for my brother to arrive with PDA in hand!Weird, in US used palms are like a dime a dozen on ebay... I myself have a Samsung i500 palm cell phone, which works quite nicely for Twinkle since I can map all the answers to the keyboard and buttons and review without touching the screen, ever (except to pick the stack).
The current algorithm is pretty nice, especially for learning new cards, and the nicest part is that it can show you the previous and the next interval depending on your answer -- so there is direct feedback, which helps a lot.
A small fly in the ointment: it now seems to me that it is a bit weaker for maintenance reviewing in some cases, too aggressive for my liking, I'd like the intervals to increase faster (although the max interval is at ~2048 iirc). But this is something that can and will be improved: I'm discussing this with the author now, and the source code is free anyway (now I only need to figure out how to compile it).
