I also find that I get a lot of reinforcement by listening to the custom podcasts. I burned CD's of the older podcasts and play them in my car, as well as on my iphone, so I get exposure older items.
...I am planning to use the Anki Core 2000 deck to do further review and writing practice later so I will see the words again that way...
I am also planning to use Anki for long term reviews, after I finish RTK1.
