Help with writing the correct On'yomi?

#1
Hey guys,

I've recently started up with Heisig's RTK and have decided on a method where I learn the Onyomi (and some core Kunyomi) as well as the mnemonic to make any future Jukugos and reading comprehension later less of struggle. Its also helping me reinforce my Kana reading and writing.

Anyways, since I've been making my own stories and inputting my own cards I've had to use online dictionaries to find the respective Onyomi for each Kanji. However, take 早 for example. http://jisho.org/kanji/details/%E6%97%A9 lists 2 Onyomi in which I assume the first one is the most used. However, this often conflicts with websites like Kanjidamage http://www.kanjidamage.com/kanji/29-early-%E6%97%A9 where the preferred Onyomi is ソウ and not サツ.

Could anyone give me some advice in how to ensure I'm memorising the right Onyomi for Kanji? I don't want to spend all the time memorising something just to have it be wrong. I realise that jisho is colour-coded blue and black for any double meanings but kanjidamage lists what is apparently "fast" as the Onyomi for "early".

Do I write both or just one and how do I ensure I'm doing it right? Thanks in advance!
