Hey everyone!
I'll be leaving for Japan in 2 weeks to do the English ALT thing for a year. Getting pretty excited about finally getting to travel and live there after all these years. I'll be working for a popular ALT contractor in the Nagoya area. I believe I will be in the Gifu prefecture close to Nakatsugawa. I'll be teaching at elementary and junior high schools while commuting with a car paid for by the company. If anyone has any advice about the region or Nagoya that would be great and if there is anyone on here who has done ALT work before can offer up some insight about the job expectations. Top things I should bring with me to Japan or how to prepare my packing would be great too! D:
If anybody is interested in how I got the job or the application process up until now just ask away! I will try to answer as much as I can without revealing the employer.
