Nayr's Core5000 deck (Frequency Dictionary of Japanese)

This was useful in understanding: http://rtkwiki.koohii.com/wiki/Morph_Man...culated.3F In summary, it uses a mathematical function that accepts a sentence and your current set of 'known' words, and outputs a number. It applies this function to each sentence in the deck, and then sorts the sentences according to the resulting function value.

Also, if you extend Nayr182's model in Anki to include fields listed in http://rtkwiki.koohii.com/wiki/Morph_Man#How_to_use_it under "Default Morph Man 3 fields" and rerun Morphman, it will populate those fields with some useful information, including the number it calculated for the sentence in "morphManIndex".

If you're experimenting with it, it's useful to create a dummy Anki account on your computer, add just the deck, and experiment with Morphman there, so you can see exactly what it's doing without worrying about what other words it's found in your other decks. There's many different ways you can imagine optimizing a deck, let me know if you're interested in this and I can share some more details.
