So I think I'm more used to television pronuciation.
Specific sentences: I've noticed that in such sentences as 服を買った Core2k/Core6k often pronunced with reduced う and your wife rarely reduce う in such words.
At first I supposed Kansai ben (wikipedia: "In Standard, vowel reduction frequently occurs, but it is rare in Kansai.").
Anyway, I like the voice of your wife and I don't much care for 'proper' pronunciation.
