Effective, much less boring than more srs/textbook study and zero extra reviews (unless you're building a sentence mining deck). Basically, I just dump SRS for the rest of the day as a rule when I'm done reviewing (except for adding new cards) and I'm convinced this approach is more productive than doing more SRS just because you have the time.
