Swedish and Norwegian (and Danish) are quite closely related to German and English. As far as I know, the only language that might give you a head start with Finnish is Estonian!

Bringing this thread back to its original topic, is anyone else finding the 'move schedule data' plug-in doesn't work with the new version of Anki (0.9.4)? Specifically, no menu item called "Plugins"...
