Note that ゆく is a much more older reading than いく. In classical Japanese, at least until the Heian period it's always ゆく.

Last time I checked it was an IIS 404 error, now it seems to come from the provider. They might be transferring or have some configuration problems.

I'd say 親日家. I've heard 日本通 too, but as far as I can guess that means purely "knowlegdeable about Japan" sethg: 日本贔屓 means something like, preferring Japan, especially over other countries.
