I don't get why ある isn't usually written with kanji... If those sentences used 有る it'd be more clear what the meaning was.

I read 弁償 for the first time in a manga then turned on the TV and heard it about 3 times in 15 minutes hehe. It'd be nice if that kind of thing happened more often though :)

2023 =) I don't really find the need to review kanji individually anymore, sentences pretty much takes care of it, and I don't really care if I forget kanji that I've never seen used before anyway.

Yeah I have a feeling "cut" isn't really the best keyword for 切. It works for the verb but not much else.
