I didn't have permission to edit your google doc, but throw this in column E (or another column): =VLOOKUP(A1, D1:D2500, 1, FALSE) Then copy that down to column. Is that what you are looking for?

Ok, I have one more reason to learn the kana first: I liked some of the shared stories that used the kanas in them - "mutually" and "do" come to mind.

I may have misunderstood but I believe the original poster was referring to RTK practice. We aren't learning Japanese , we are learning to write Chinese characters.
