It is, I like Nihongo Challenge/Soumatome a lot but the grammar explanations are extremely succinct, so you'll need an extra source for grammar!

I think for N4 a vocabulary list and some listening practice would help, but you don't need a JLPT guide for those.

Turn all the Genki stuff into Anki cards, finish RTK (just 550 to go!), learn one Japanese word for every kanji in RTK, hopefully read a bit and try to actually use Japanese when talking to my Japanes...

However long it takes you to do the workbook exercices without having to think about it. You could spend one week on one lesson and then quiz yourself the week after as if you were taking an exam.

Wow, that took WAY longer than I expected (basically because I burnt out and didn't do much for 1,5 months), but I'm finally on frame 1650! I'm even starting to pick up random kanji I come across!  :D...

I think adding collocations and particles to cards is useful/a necessity unless we're talking about very unambiguous words such as "犬" or "食べる". They don't have to be full sentences, though!

eh, those are almost like differences in calligraphic style, although I understand the stroke order/stroke count is altered honestly i don't see the point in having unsimplified kanji in the jinmeiyo...
