That's awesome! Actually I feel my vocab has improved when I actually don't worry so much about my progress. Extensive reading  + Anki has definitely helped. Also I don't really worry too much anymore...

This is why I am reading material that contains furigana for almost all the kanji. It allows me to not worry about kanji readings and just read! But I do still use a jisho for difficult to read kanji....
