I don't think it matters so much... learn to pronounce each syllable correctly - tons of resources for this online (just imitate the way it's meant to sound). Other than that there's no stress or pitc...

I'm not finished yet, but the first few cards in core2k seemed amazingly useful. There's a lot of good information on each card and it breaks down sentences and vocabulary well... and it's free.
