Compound sentence question - TomTomHatesCats - 2012-09-26 While reading Tae Kim's grammar guide, I saw this example in the section on Compound Sentences: 時間がありまして、映画を見ました。 I thought when there is more than one verb in a sentence, they conjugate from the plain form, until the final verb in the sentence, like: 時間があって、映画を見ました。 Thanks! -Tom Compound sentence question - Crispy - 2012-09-26 時間がありまして is more polite, that's all.
