Local Music in Shikoku - billyclyde - 2007-12-07
This is worth a try. I know a few of you live in Shikoku, which from the one time I went there, seems small enough, foreigner-wise, that people knew each other. On the Internet later, I found a public TV news report about an Aussie guy married to a Japanese living and farming in Shikoku. He had a band called "Beteran Hige" or ベテラン髭 two of whose songs I downloaded, 親父 and 農業地獄。 They're good rock songs, with hilarious lyrics- about farming, what I can make out. Something about riding on a tractor out of the hell of farming, and having screwed up his stomach by eating too much yakitori.
Anybody know these guys-- I''d love to hear more of their music, but all I can find online are a couple of blog entries about shows they've played.
