Howdy

Looking for a program similar to match of the day, for J league 1. I'm sure it must exist but i am having no luck.

Thanks.

I confess, I did not look very hard lol.

I have just searched Jリーグ・ディビジョン1 (wikipedia) on Youtube, to find clips. They have commentary and the channel has a lot of uploads, but I was hoping for a full program with pundits.

Thanks.

There are definitely programs like this shown here in Japan. (Actually, I have to confess I've never seen Match of the Day but I can imagine what it is -- must be similar to the weekly Sky highlight show but with pundits.) There's at least one regular TV program shown late at night (which night I forget) with that comedian guy who was recently hospitalized because he's too skinny -- maybe someone knows his name, well known, see him all the time. On Sky Perfect (Japan's satellite), a J League highlight program is available to subscribers of any package that has J League games.

EDIT: The comic's name is Hiroyuki Yabe and the show is Yabecchi FC (http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/yfc/). Covers Japanese stars playing abroad, like Kagawa or Honda, too.

Now, whether there's anyone out there actually making these available for folks outside Japan, that I do not know, but perhaps a post to one of the J Drama forums might result in something?

I thought there would be.
I have bookmarked that site for later, I'm knackered, cheers.

Don't know which sky program you mean, it's been a while since I've watched highlights on sky, they used to show the majority of a match rather than actual 'highlights'.
I find the pundits the worst part of Match of The Day, i just want to see the football, but that is not the case in this case.
